Fikret Islyamov Redzhepov
Fikret Islyamov was born on April 13, 1939 in Ruse. Graduated from "Baba Tonka" high school. He was admitted to the National Art Academy in Sofia and in 1966 he successfully graduated in Painting in the class of Prof. Nenko Balkanski. From 1967 to 1995 he held 16 solo exhibitions in Bulgaria, the Netherlands, Germany and Turkey. From 1997 to 2003, he worked in Istanbul as a painting teacher at Marmara University. In 2003, he founded a private school for the preparation of candidate students for the higher art schools in Istanbul. During his teaching work, he continued to create and held numerous solo exhibitions in Ankara, Ortakoy, Kadıköy, Fenerbahçe, etc. His paintings can be found in the NHG - Sofia, RHG, the galleries of Vidin, Silistra, Veliko Tarnovo, in the collections of the Berlin Museum and Bratislava, as well as in the possession of private collectors in Sofia, Belgrade, Paris, Munich, Bratislava.
Fikret Islamov passed away on July 25, 2009.
